About Coach Tiago Beowulf

Founder of BKS – Beowulf Kickboxing School

I started training in 2003 in a small gym in São Paulo. No shortcuts—just heart, discipline, and an obsession with getting better. I didn’t know where it would take me. I only knew that every day on the mat had to mean something.

I earned my black belt in Muay Thai at Combate Sport under Gilmar China and Nelson Selleri, and my black belt in kickboxing under Paulo Zorello, fighting through Brazil’s toughest circuits. I went seven years unbeaten, picked up national titles, and fought for a world title in Europe. Along the way, I won events like Forja dos Campeões, New Talents, GP Ichigeki, Arena Brasil, and Combat GP, and I headlined Muay Thai and kickboxing shows across the country. The results were important—but the real lesson was learning how to perform under pressure, again and again.

In 2010, I appeared on the cover of one of Brazil’s major fight magazines. Years later, another magazine told the story of my move to the United States. Those articles weren’t just about recognition—they were reminders to keep moving forward, keep traveling, keep learning, and keep building something bigger than myself.

From 2005 to 2019, I taught in Brazil every week: beginners, hobbyists, amateurs, and pros. I saw people start from zero, find confidence, and completely change how they see themselves. In 2014, I went to Holland to train at Golden Glory, which changed how I understand distance, timing, and pressure. After that, I trained in Denver and at AKA in California, sharing the mats with world-class fighters and coaches, and later spent four years as Head Coach in New Jersey, running classes and fight camps.

All of that—Brazil, Holland, Denver, AKA, New Jersey, and the championship belts I helped guide—became the foundation for BKS. Real technique. Real application. Real evolution. That’s what I bring to every student who walks in.

This is BKS.

From TUF Coach to BKS:

Your Next-Level Training

During my time on The Ultimate Fighter, I worked with elite athletes alongside Daniel Cormier and his coaching team. Together, we achieved one of the best seasons, filled with intense striking and exchanges. Now, I bring that same level of expertise and passion to every session at BKS.

The BKS System

The BKS System is a reflection of Coach Tiago Beowulf’s journey — a path forged through years of training, fighting, and teaching across Brazil, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Each level was built from real experience, designed to guide you from your first strike to complete Pro Fighter.

Intermediate (Level 3)

This stage represents growth and self-expression. During this period, Tiago fought for a world title, then traveled to the Netherlands, training with the Hemmers family and Ramon Dekkers’ brother.

Here, you’ll learn to blend precision and creativity — evolving your own style, just as Tiago fused Dutch kickboxing with his Brazilian roots to form the core of BKS.

Beginner (Levels 1 & 2)

This is where it all begins. Inspired by Tiago’s early years at Combate Esporte in São Paulo, these levels focus on developing balance, timing, and discipline — the same fundamentals that carried him through his amateur tournaments and into the professional ranks.

Advanced (Levels 4 & 5)

The final phase reflects Tiago’s time in the United States, learning from Duane Ludwig in Colorado and training alongside Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier, and Cain Velasquez at AKA.

This is where everything comes together — power, intelligence, and composure. Guided by a system tested with real fighters and champions from 2020 to 2025, you’ll refine not only your skills but your mindset.
